A Smarter Prescription for Topical Pain
FoamaDerm® enables effective topical analgesia at lower concentrations — backed by peer-reviewed research and University of Alberta clinical data.
Why Prescribe FoamaDerm®?
-
Evidence-Based Efficacy at Lower Doses: Diclofenac compounded in FoamaDerm® demonstrates superior drug release compared to conventional bases and brand products. This means your patients benefit from effective pain relief at concentrations up to 3% — eliminating the need for 5% or 10% formulations used in less efficient bases.
-
Clinically Tested on Real Patients: A University of Alberta study evaluated 2% diclofenac in FoamaDerm® in patients with chronic musculoskeletal pain. Results showed meaningful reductions in pain scores, with a favorable tolerability profile. Click to read the article
-
Another clinical assessment in patients with osteoarthritis of knee showed that diclofenac 2% in FoamaDerm® was associated with clinically meaningful reduction in pain score over the study period, supporting its potential as topical treatment option for localized chronic join pain. -
Improved Safety Profile: Lower effective concentrations mean reduced systemic exposure and a lower risk of skin irritation — an important consideration for elderly patients or those on multiple medications.
-
Better Adherence = Better Outcomes: Patients prefer FoamaDerm®. The water-based, non-greasy formula is easy to apply, leaves no staining, and fits into any daily routine. Better adherence translates directly to better clinical outcomes.
